about
This one is an anthem about some of the challenges we face, and how we rely on our friends (and the fandom in general) to work through it. The final chorus was recorded live at BronyCon 2017, even though at the time, that chorus was the ONLY part of the song that had been written so far. The rest of the song was written around that one melody/thought, and we're eager to share it with the world.
lyrics
Was anybody here at the beginning?
Cheezburger, tiger-blood, and winning
Red badges, trigger-warnings, bans, and interventions
LSD, Plan-B, and a fake ID for the the conventions
I was clever enough to start this, and I’ll be brave enough to end it
I won’t apologize for the lies I tell when I look you in the eye
But I’m losing focus
I’m losing friends
Counting every hour
‘til I can start again
A billion voices are beating their drums for the human race, they say
That when we’re gone the world will be a better place
With a mile of rope and a smile I hope to swing a good while
Will-call at the cancer hall; may our best intentions kill us all
I wasn’t clever enough to start this; won’t be brave enough to end it
I would apologize for my lies if I could look you in the eye
Because I’m losing focus
I’m losing friends
Counting every hour
‘til I can start again
I was stupid enough to start this; I think I’m sober enough to end it,
I apologize for my lies and I know I’m a failure in your eyes
That’s why I’m losing focus
I’m losing friends
Counting every hour
‘til I can start again
